  Hi there once again folks,

              Its me Eric again with another journal for you to enjoy. First of all I want to thanks to all of you who sent me well warm birthday wishes for me on my special day this past sunday and it really made my day because I had to do a lot of things that day and it was exhausting and down right stressing for me and my family but give thanks to the allmighty God we pulled it though and my folks still took me out to dinner, your warm responses to me really made my day. Thanks also for the great comments for my last Journal as well and Lord Storm you are so right my man I do got a true talent for poetry and had been writing poems ever since I was fourteen and i'm honored to be your inspiration in writing and Arwenandcole you're right too I do be writing some great tributes to true legends who passed on and respect that all that they done to be historic figures in our time. Well let's kick things off in Congrations to both the New Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks for winning their third cup in six years and the New NBA World Champions the Golden State Warriors for winning their first championship in forty years and both series were exciting and action packed to see. Well let the countdown for the next Sports season to began but there's always still Baseball season to follow this summer and my Hometown Team the Washington Nationals have been rolling lately due the success of their superb pitching led by Mad Max Schezer who is right now the hottest pitcher in Baseball and even tossed a No hitter two weekends ago and almost had another one the game before.The Nattitude's back in First place again!
            Well on my birthday Sunday night I saw the 20th aniversary of the BET awards and it was indeed awesome with so many tributes and reunions to boot. The winners for the night including Sam Smith for best new artist but didn't show up and Anthony Anderson who along with Blackish co-star Tracie Ellis ROSS (Diana's Daughter) were the co-hosts for the night and accept the award for him telling the crowd that he's they're new blue eyed soul brotha(ha-ha!) Nicki Minaj and Kenderick Lamar for best Hip Hop artists, Beyonce and Chris Brown for best Pop/R&B artists, Empire's Tariri B. Henson and Terrence Howard for best actress and actor, John Legend and Common for best combination for the great song Glory. Serena Williams and Stephan Curry for Sportspeople of the Year, Legendary Radio Jockey Tom Joyner for Humaritan of the year but the stories of the night were the Tributes and reunions, We saw the grand reunion of the Bad Boy Records roster(sans the late great Notorious B.I.G) Diddy, Mase, Craig Mack, The Lox, Total, Lil Kim and the first lady of Bad boy Faith Evans step on stage to perform the biggest hits all while it was happenning Poor diddy took a fall on the stage(ha-ha) Poor Sean combs it has not been a dream start to the summer for him so far first being arrested in the UCLA Campus where his son used to play football but since kicked off the team and now this things will be better for him in the future. Then we saw a Great tribute to the living legend himself Smokey Robinson as he received a lifetime achievement award and took part in an awesome sing a long with Toya Kelly, Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke who paid tribute to him singing his classic songs. The highlight of the night for me is indeed the return of the Queen of Rhythm Nation, The lady who wanted Control in her life and Got it, The woman who went from Michael's little sister to a big time Superstar of her own, that's right I'm talking about Janet, Oh Mrs. Jackson if you are Nasty! Her appearence was indeed stunning and beautiful with her proud parents look on in the audience looking as young in her Control days not bad for a lady pushing 50 and while they won't be another one like her The Princess of Crunk Pop from the ATL, Clara did a great badass tribute so epic that even Michael if he was still alive today would be proud and the Ex-Miss Future did remind people of a young Janet. The BET Awards was indeed fun to watch.
        Well, we had big stories in the news since my last journal first Congrats to the supreme court system for legalizing Gay and Lesbian Marriages all across the USA and it doesn't matter if you are in love with either a man or woman You do have a right to marry the one that you love the most we all are God's Children and he loves us all. The second, Well another Horrific Tragedy hit us earlier this month as Nine innocent people all black were killed in a senseless attacked by an unarmed young white gunman in South Carolina and in all places, Church?!? this was no ordinary church this was the oldest Black church in the USA and a lot of Historic figures was at the church, Including Frederick Douglass and Dr. Martin Luther King junior.Again this is further proof that Racism sadly still exists in this country but I'm glad that they caught the gunman who got his gun as a birthday present from his father is in behind bars now and the confediate flag that is the symbol of evil and hate in the south needs to be taken down now not only in South Carolina and Mississippi but in the rest of the south My condolences goes out to all the families of the victims of the tragedy and also my pastor say in my church pray for the Gunman as well because no one is born evil.
          Thanks once again for the Llama Badges, DEV watches and of course the Birthday wishes as well. Well I'll be on Vacation the next two weeks visting my relatives and can't wait to see them all again.before I go here's two more poems for you to enjoy,

                                                                   FAMILY REUNIONS

For every once in a while families come together
To be reunited again sitting, talking with each other

It's a time for us to reminisce our historic past while sharing old stories
Looking ahead to the future in the process of making great new memories

We all must remember our forefathers and ancestors who came before is started our family tree
After all the struggles and triumphs pave the way, without them they wouldn't be me

We also remember family members that passed away over the years and still miss them so much
We always talk about the good ole days when they were they never go out of touch

We've all come together from all parts of the country spanning the globe far and near
No matter what we are young or old, big or small we all in the same place having fun and giving some cheer

We're a family that has its share of laughter, anger, fears and some heartbreaking tears
No family photo album could hold the extraordinary memories that we had so many years

By the end of the day all thanks and glory to God for what he has done
Under his divine invention created an ever changing circle of life of fathers, mothers, daughters and sons

So let's show how much we really mean to each other giving our love to everyone
We must also pass down this timeless tradition on down to the next generation
Because we all share the same blood there's Nothing in this world like a family reunion

Now here's another one in tribute for the nine angels from South Carolina

Learning to live and loving each other to celebrate

The only way to do it's by keeping our eyes on the sparrow

Most importantly dear Lord lift us up so each and everyone of us can be free
Its all starts with me being me
